*This year’s fishing derby has been cancelled due to COVID-19.  Fishing derby permits are not being issued this year.  We hope to bring back the fishing derby in 2021. 

CANCELLED – 2020 Sambro Sou’Wester Days Festival

CANCELLED – August 7-9, 2020

In consultation with government officials, SACA has made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel 2020 Sou’Wester Days. We look forward to hosting the festival in 2021, assuming we are allowed to do so.

The Bluenose II was scheduled to tie up at the Government Wharf that weekend to help us celebrate. We are awaiting word from them as to their plans for the summer. If they decide to come, SACA will work with them and with government officials to ensure this is done safely and within guidelines.
